'Play' is de opvolger van 'Love Don't Cost A Thing' en is terug te vinden op JLo (2001). Het is geschreven door Christina Milian die eind 2001 een hit scoort met 'From AM To PM'.Christina: "I actually wrote 'Play' for myself. But a week before that I had written the song 'A.M. To P.M.' (...) and it's a party song [like 'Play']. I didn't want to come out with two party songs because I didn't want to be known as a party girl. So, I said, 'Let's not waste this song. Let's send it to another artist.'"
